Label Review: mother's brewing company

As their 5 year anniversary approached, Mother’s Brewing Company, based in Springfield, Missouri, teamed up with Revel Advertising to refresh the labels of their locally brewed seasonal and year-round craft beers with a new design. The redesign included changing the layout and content of the labels as well as adding humorous illustration to match each type of beer.

The new design is quirky and whimsical with its dynamic typography and fun-loving cartoons. The Mother’s logo is still prominent in the design, but they’ve added more information so the consumer can best decide what product is right for them. A new and improved grid structure divides the label content in a visually pleasing way. Information about the beer includes food pairings, what style of glass works best to drink from, and at what temperature the beer can be enjoyed best. The content isn’t crowded on the label because the designers included iconography to help consumers easily read a lot of information at once. Their monochromatic color scheme is associated with the flavors and types of beer. What makes these labels special is that they’re designed for the individual product and variety, while still maintaining brand consistency.
